| The 200/1000 Effort |

We have the opportunity to work in a very specialized field that is every bit a vocational calling as any pastor has. With this in mind we are launching our financial campaign called the “200/1000 Effort”. We are looking for 200 individuals, businesses, churches, civic clubs, youth groups or what ever to be involved by donating $1000 in a lump sum or $1000 pledge over 12 months to USECC. This will not only enable us to continue our ministry but to rise to the next level of service. One of the top needs we want to acquire is a Mobile Respite Center. While serving at Ground Zero we could go to St. Paul's Chapel and relax, sleep, get a hot meal, fresh shirts, socks and other gear. It was great and it was for First Responders only. Since that time, I have wanted a mobile unit to take on the road for this purpose. We are looking at several options and hoping to get a vehicle donated and renovated for this use. This is only one of the necessities we need to provide as the demand and opportunity continues to present itself for this ministry. As one donor put it, “who wouldn't want to support USECC and the First Response community. I remember one instance in New Orleans when one of the chief's on the fire department shook my hand and said “thanks for all you have done”. I replied, “My pleasure chief, you're worth it”. The question is simple, will you find a way to stand with us. I hope you'll agree they're worth it and so is USECC.
