Written by professional songwriter Jimmy Jack Whitaker, it is preformed by one of our own, Firefighter Frank Pizarro of FDNY. There is no doubt in my mind that this song will be sung across the country at conferences, shows, memorials and other events in the fire service from this day forward. You will undoubtedly be reminded of calls in your area since the footage was gathered from incidents around the nation and is actual footage. This is a heart-warming song about friends, family and First Responders we will all relate too and identify with. It is an encouragement for one and all to uphold the integrity and tradition of our calling. “Being a firefighter, this is the type of song that would give that extra strength to push for that last burning room........TO SAVE A LIFE” -Jamal Braithwaite, FDNY Ladder 51, Da Dawg House. “Inspiring and moving, great melody and compelling performance. Rare is the song where all these qualities collide. I think any member of our profession would be proud and humbled after hearing such a song” -Capt. Joe Fincher, New Orleans Fire Department. If you are a First Responder, or a friend, or related to one, you will want to get a copy for them and yourself.
